What you will need for this vegetarian dog cookie recipe
- Oats
- Creamy, natural peanut butter
- Banana
- Food processor to grind the oats (unless you have oat flour)
- Mixing bowl
- Baking sheet
- Measuring cup
- Rolling pin
- Cookie cutter or shot glass
How to make dog biscuits
Grind oats in a food processor until they resemble flour. Depending on the age of your dog, you might be able to leave some larger pieces of oats in the cookie for texture. Add the ground oats to a mixing bowl
Stir in peanut butter and mashed banana until everything is combined. Use your hands, if needed. Transfer the “dough” to a cutting board or surface that you can roll it out on with the rolling pin. Roll it to 1/4 inch thick and use the top of a shot glass or cookie cutter (or your hands!) to form shapes. If you use a shot glass, you will get approximately 24 cookies
Transfer the cookies to the baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and transfer the cookies to a cooling rack so they don’t continue to cook on the baking sheet. Let them cool completely before serving
