A naturally sweetened, protein-rich smoothie recipe that tastes like strawberry cheesecake. It’s giving dessert to breakfast vibes without added sugar or protein powder.
How to make a protein smoothie without protein powder
To a blender, combine:
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup milk (I used oat milk, but whole milk will give you more protein and calcium)
- 1 Tablespoon of almond butter
- a dash of cinnamon
- a handful of strawberries
- a few ice cubes
Blend well until combined. This smoothie makes 2 cups and provides 14 grams of protein if using oat milk. If you use whole milk, this recipe provides 22 grams of protein.
